2 Lakes for the The Forbidden Corner Limited

Geosynthetic Technology Limited has recently completed the lining of two large lakes near Leyburn in North Yorkshire, UK.  The Client is The Forbidden Corner Limited whose estate – The Strangest Place In The World – is open to the general public.
Using approximately 2,500m² of our Exceliner Polypropylene 1.00mm geomembrane liner, and a combination of 300g/m² and 650g/m² geotextile, our lining work was undertaken and completed within the agreed programme dates.
Mr John Reeves, Manager of The Forbidden Corner Limited, says:

“During this summer we had our two ponds at The Forbidden Corner de-silted and relined.  With the ponds now completed, I would just like to say a big thank you to all from Geosynthetic Technology involved in the process. It was very reassuring to be dealing with Paul Gordon, the same Contracts Manager who visited the site some 12-years ago to provide Technical assistance and pricing. The whole process went problem-free from start to finish, and we are extremely pleased with the end result.  I would recommend Geosynthetic Technology to anyone needing this sort of work doing.”

The Forbidden Corner is a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises, all created within a four acre garden in the heart of Tupgill Park and the Yorkshire Dales.  The brainchild of Mr C R Armstrong CMG OBE, the Forbidden Corner was originally built as a private folly but due to public demand was subsequently opened to the public.
Geosynthetic Technology Limited thanks The Forbidden Corner Limited for its valued business.  We encourage people to visit this tourist attraction, which includes: the temple of the Underworld; the Eye of the Needle; a huge pyramid made of translucent glass; paths and passages that lead nowhere; and extraordinary statues.  At every turn there are decisions to make and tricks to avoid. This is a day out with a difference which will challenge and delight adults and children of all ages.
