Monty Says Itís a 7-Star Course
Today is the opening day of The 2010 Ryder Cup at The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales.
Colin Montgomerie, The European Team Captain, has referred to the course as being of “Seven-Star Quality” – this according to the Owner and Developer of The Celtic Manor Resort, Sir Terry Matthews.
Adjacent to the 18th Green sits the challenging water feature lined by Geosynthetic Technology Limited in 2007 during the construction phase of what is referred to as the Twenty-Ten Course. Because of the location and aesthetics, much television coverage is being shown of the lake.
The lake was lined using Excelastic 1.00mm liner and a protective geotextile underlay, benefiting from our bona-fide Warranty, together with our Professional Indemnity and Product Liability insurance. Geosynthetic Technology have lined a vast array of golf lakes, ponds and water features in the UK and worldwide, for more information on our Golf course lake projects visit our Golf Course Lakes and Ponds page and read our Case Study on our golf course lining project in Obidos, Portugal.
The highly acclaimed course was constructed by M J Abbott Limited of Salisbury, Wiltshire, and it is a real testament to the quality of their work.
