Geosynthetic Technology Limited has seen a flurry of activity throughout the UK during the start of 2016 - including lining a Slurry Lagoon, Ponds, an Irrigation Lagoon, Attenuation Ponds, and a Feature Lake. With imminent projects - including the lining of a 2,500m² Leach Pad adjacent to Ipswich Docks, and a 27,000m²/30,000,000 gallon Irrigation Reservoir at Martlesham near Ipswich, Ground Sealing (Capping) in Kings Cross, London and Lake Lining in Stonehaven in Scotland - we are looking forward to another busy year!
The Strangest Place In The World
Geosynthetic Technology Limited has recently completed the lining of two large lakes near Leyburn in North Yorkshire, UK. The Client is The Forbidden Corner Limited whose estate – The Strangest Place In The World – is open to the general public.
Kings Cross Development - Handyside Park & Granary Square
Maylim Limited and Toureen Mangan Limited appointed Geosynthetic Technology Limited to assist with developing and transforming the industrial area to the North of Kings Cross Station into a vibrant new city quarter.
Project Engineers chose Exceliner PP liner as the best geomembrane to provide a highly flexible and cost-efficient lining geomembrane that can be demonstrated to have a working life of more than 100-years.
Sustainable Biodiversity at Green Park, Reading
PP Construction contacted Geosynthetic Technology Limited during the summer of 2014, to discuss refurbishment of a leaking lake adjacent to one of the office buildings within the Green Park site in Reading. We were pleased to work with PP Construction to design, supply, install and commission a new geomembrane lining system for the unsightly lake.
Senegal Lagoon Project
Geosynthetic Technology Limited recently completed the lining of a Dirty Process Water Lagoon near Senegal, West Africa, as part of the Grande Côte Mineral Sands Project.
Foreign projects for the second half of 2012 have included sending prefabricated panels of geomembrane liner to France and Portugal; dispatching pre-assembled attenuation tank liners to Jersey; and providing rolls of our proprietary Chemguard geomembrane product to The Republic of Kazakhstan by express haulage.
World's Largest Lagoon Liner
Considered to be the World’s largest lagoon lining, more than 1.4 million square metres (350 acres) of continuous Polypropylene geomembrane lining was recently installed by Geosynthetic Technology Limited on a project in Kazakhstan.
Onwards and Upwards
The start of 2011 sees our return to Worplesdon to finish a 10,000m2 irrigation reservoir lining system. The eight-inches of snow in December last year meant it could not be completed then!

Following what has been commented on as the coldest, snow-ridden Winter in 30-years a slow start to the year has been experienced. It is just not possible to line snow-covered ground excavations and waterlogged areas.

With a current order book in excess of £2,000,000 Geosynthetic Technology Limited continues to buck the trend, overcoming what is generally a tough time for the Construction Industry in the UK.
The Future Is Bright
Whilst completing the lining of two Landfill Cells at Ballynagran in Southern Ireland at the tail end of 2008, our other Installation Teams have been working at various sites from Workington, Cumbria to Chartham, Kent. One of the last projects completed in 2008 was the lining of a catchment lagoon for the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston in Berkshire.
Northern Ireland Golf Project
Working directly for Dar Golf Limited, Geosynthetic Technology Limited has recently completed the lining of a new feature-lake built at Warrenpoint Golf Club. The Designer of the project is STRI (Sports Turf Reasearch Institute).
London 2012 Olympics
Four years after Geosynthetic Technology Limited plastic-lined the feature lake for the Opening Ceremony of the Athens Games, the Company is now involved with Olympic Work closer to home.
