Ely retained GT to line 3 separate lake areas at the new Obidos site - which is approximately 1 hour from Lisbon. Obidos is a high-quality development with a unique selection of architect designed homes built around the golf course. The development is marketed for second-home buyers looking for a departure from the Algarve area of Portugal.

The lining works were typical for golf course lakes - a geotextile underlay was installed across the lake formation area with a flexible liner installed directly on top of it. A geotextile overlay was installed where soil was to be spread back over the upper slope areas; this provided a finished lake edge of natural and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Concrete plinths were built around pipe entries/headwalls onto which the liners were mechanically fixed with batten strips.
GT undertook the work by sending 2 Installation Foremen to site to work with 4 locally supplied Staff. The lining system is covered by a bona-fide 20-year warranty, provided directly by GT.
