Yourself or your chosen contractor will excavate the area required for the bio bed, with any gradients that are required to your project specification.
Once excavation is completed Geosynthetic Technology will install a protective Geotextile, this will help to reduce the risk of piercing or damage once the bio bed is filled.
We will install the recommended Geomembrane over the protective Geotextile.
Our engineers will then weld joints, and complete testing to ensure quality and longevity of the joins.
The liner installation is finished and the bio mix and other organic matter can be added to the bio bed.
Bio Beds can play a key role on farms and other sites where pesticides and other contaminants need to be processed before being allowed to return to the surrounding water system. Bio Beds are practical way for farmers and growers to manage the treatment of chemical run off from pesticides and other agricultural chemicals, as they’re easy to create and require little maintenance when in place.
Poorly contained bio beds can allow seepage of chemicals and contaminants that can damage the surrounding aquatic life and flora, it is important to ensure your bio bed is made from a strong, long lasting Geomembrane that is correctly installed with well welded joins.
